Why lighting changes the picture
Strong reflected light reduces apparent contrast. Raising brightness may help visibility but cannot recreate original color in every lighting condition.
Steps to improve the display
- Choose a wall with indirect light.
- Use blinds during the brightest hours.
- Adjust supported brightness settings using the manual.
- Test a familiar photograph throughout the day before editing it.
- Clean only as the manufacturer instructs.
Image preparation
Start with a good original, crop to 1920 × 1080 or 1080 × 1920 and avoid extreme saturation changes intended only to compensate for glare.
Screen protectors and color settings
The previous guide recommended an extra matte protector without model-specific evidence. Do not add a film or coating unless NETGEAR confirms compatibility. Use only controls your device provides.
